COLORCAN strengthens your position in the market. High quality, full colour packaging in small volume batch sizes, makes it possible to market every product in your range consistently. We can supply small numbers of pre-printed containers with a short delivery time. The normal minimum printing order is about 20 pallets per order. Depending on the content size, the print order can be reduced to 2 pallets.

COLORCAN has a strong marketing appeal: low print quantity allows small quantities of your product to be launched in test and niche markets in professional packaging. The time required to launch products onto the market, can be reduced to 2 or 3 weeks. So where a quick response to the market is required, COLORCAN is a good solution. COLORCAN also reduces complexity: large printing runs are a thing of the past, so stock and risk control is easier. The price per packaging is slightly higher than for conventional printing techniques.

For an attractive full colour packaging, with or without your own design, you can choose within the COLORCAN-series for a digitally printed tin can packaging, or your tin can with a full colour label.

Digitally printed tin can packaging

Digitally printing of tin can packaging is a unique technique. The only requirement is that the design is based on 4 colours (CMYK). On the other hand the quality of re-prints remains constant. Various dimensions and shapes of tin can packaging can be printed digitally.

Tin can packaging that can be printed digitally are:

• Cylindrical tin cans (from 125 ml up to 4 litres)
• Conical tin cans (2,5 liter up to 5 litres)
• Rectangular liquid tinplate containers (250 ml up to 1 litres)
• Round liquid tinplate containers (500 ml + 1 litre)
• Aerosols (diameter 57 and 65 mm)

Several sizes and shapes (including pails and large rectangular tin cans) are under construction.

Full colour label

A new technique in the COLORCAN-series is a full colour label onto premium and brand enhancing metal can packaging. With up to 7 printed colours, our quality labels can produce every colour within the spectrum, including gold and bronze. COLORCAN can be produced with a transparent label, allowing the unique silver colour of the metal can to show through. Your design can be produced with a glossy or matt effect finish and with quality of the result comparable to offset printing. With COLORCAN you can even re-label old decorated designs, so you can avoid obsolete stock. COLORCAN is available on cylindrical metal can packaging in sizes 125 ml – 5 litre.

Digitally printed lids

Lids are used more and more as means of communication with the customer. The lid is sprayed in a colour or it is printed using offset technique (large numbers). The latest development in digital printing of tin can packaging offers the possibility to also print the lids digitally. This means lids can be printed in small numbers. By printing your text or logo on the lid, the lid also provides a contribution to strengthening your brand.

The lid can now also be used to present the content better, for instance the reproduction of a wood texture (if required: treated versus untreated) a specification of colour, or a manual. In conclusion: also the lid communicates with the customer and end user.

Presently only RL lids with a raised panel and diameter 99 mm, suitable for tin can packaging 500 up to 750 ml, can be digitally printed (minimum order quantity 1,700 pcs). The digital print can be on a blank lid or on the container (Protact). Other lids and diameters are being developed. A COLORCAN with your own décor and a digitally printed lid, means optimal communication for your product.
